My story...
Hi, my name is Saeri.
I founded By SaeRi, Inc. to tell the stories of amazing human lives through my design. Each By SaeRi bag is a one of a kind, designed and made entirely in the USA. I handpick all the materials and oversee the production process.
Partnered with 'Speak Up for the Poor,' a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization in Pasadena and Bangladesh, we're together raising funds to build education centers and dormitories for displaced young women.
There are 5 reasons I partnered with Speak Up For the Poor:
-
God-honoring: Speak Up for the Poor puts God first.
-
Personable: As a small non-profit organization, we can connect directly with the young girls in the program.
-
Activist: The founder, Troy Anderson is an international Human Rights lawyer who helps abused young girl’s legal cases and fights against vicious child marriage (free).
-
Transformational: 100% of donation DIRECTLY benefits the girls in the village. None goes to administrative fees.
-
Transparent: Speak Up for the Poor is honest and trustworthy.
*All the proceeds benefit directly the girls in GEP (Girls Education Program) and Alingon safe home in Khulna, Bangladesh.
** By SaeRi uses not sweat shops, no child labor, and pays workers a fair wage for fair trade.
DESIGN +
ADVOCACY
Goals
-
To use art and design to incite awareness and action regarding social justice and social unrest locally and internationally.
-
To partner with local and international organizations in their efforts to support their own various causes through art and design projects.
-
To engage and involve the artistic community of Southern California in social justice work and advocacy through projects and dialogue.
Future
In light of our recent success with our Bangladesh project, we are looking to partner with other organizations in supporting their causes through our work. We hope to engage our community, as well as the larger network of charities and
non-profits in the advancement of design+advocacy for social justice.
